Two men have been convicted of attempted murder of another man in Edinburgh.
Paul O'Docherty, aged 30, and Jake O'Docherty, 27, were found guilty at the High Court in Glasgow on Tuesday, March 1.
They had attacked a then-34-year-old man, on an alleyway off of Panmure Place in Edinburgh on Sunday, September 13, 2020.
Emergency services had rushed to the scene at around 6.45pm and the man was left seriously injured following the incident.
However, his condition was later described as stable, Police Scotland had confirmed.
Detective Sergeant Keith Taylor said: “Both O’Dochertys subjected this man to a violent attack which has had lasting impact on the life of the victim.
“They will now face the consequences of their brutal behaviour following this guilty verdict.
“While it cannot change what happened, this will hopefully provide some closure for the victim.”
Both men are due to be sentenced on Monday, March 28.
