Two men charged with murder of Fahad Mohamed Nur

Three people have been charged in connection with the murder of Fahad Mohamed Nur.

South Wales Police have confirmed Abdulghalil Aldobhani, 22, from Cathays , and Shafique Shaddad, 24, from Butetown , have both been charged with murder.

Aseel Arar, a 34-year-old woman from Birmingham, has also been charged with assisting an offender.

Officers were called to the lane that connects Park Place and Corbett Road and runs alongside Cathays railway station at around 12.24am on Sunday (June 2) following reports that a man had been stabbed.

Fahad, 18, was taken to the   University Hospital of Wales , Cardiff, where he died from his injuries.

All three have been remanded in custody and will appear at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.

Fahad’s family have been updated and continue to be supported by specially-trained family liaison officers.

A 21-year-old man from Cardiff, who was arrested last night on suspicion of murder , is still being questioned.

Detective are still appealing for witnesses.
