Two men have been charged in connection with a murder in south-west London after a man’s body was found in woodland in Kent.

Joshua Miller, 32, of Kingfisher Court, Wimbledon, was arrested on Friday and charged on Saturday with murder and preventing an unlawful burial, the Metropolitan Police said.

Jamie Cooper, 27, of the same address, was also arrested on Friday and charged on Saturday with preventing an unlawful burial.

Police received a report of a potential murder at an address in Kingfisher Court, off Queensmere Road, at around 10.55pm on Thursday.

No one was found at the property during a police search but officers believed someone had “come to harm” at the address and launched an investigation, the Met said.

On Friday, officers found the body of a man in a wooded area of Borstal in Kent.

The victim and the two men charged were known to each other, the force said.

The man’s next-of-kin were notified and are being supported by specialist officers.

Both Miller and Cooper were remanded in custody and will appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday, the Met said.

A third man who was previously arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been bailed.
