TWO men have been arrested and charged in connection with a hate crime following a protest outside an accommodation housing asylum seekers in Aberdeen.
Police said that two men, aged 26 and 40, have been charged following a demonstration on Farmers Hall Lane on Thursday.
Both men were released on an undertaking and will appear in court at a later date, police said.
Asylum seekers in Aberdeen were moved to former student accommodations following protests outside hotels which housed them.
A police spokesperson said: “Two men have been arrested and charged in connection with a hate crime following a protest on Farmers Hall Lane, in Aberdeen on Thursday September 11.
“The men, aged 26 and 40, have been released on an undertaking and will appear in court at a later date.”
