Two men charged in connection with Edinburgh murder bid

Two men have been arrested and charged in connection with an attempted murder in Edinburgh.

A 34-year-old man was seriously injured during an 'altercation' in the city's Panmure Place on September 13.

Emergency services raced to the scene when the alarm was raised at around 6.45pm.

The victim's condition is described as stable.

Police probing the murder bid have since arrested and charged two men, aged 26 ad 29, in connection with the incident.

Both men are due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday, 21 September, 2020.

A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

A spokesperson from Edinburgh Police Division said: "Police Scotland can confirm that two men aged 26 and 29 have been arrested and charged in connection with an attempted murder in Edinburgh.

"The incident happened around 6.45pm on Sunday,September 13 when police and emergency services were called after a 34-year-old man was seriously injured during an altercation in Panmure Place, Edinburgh.

"His condition is currently described as stable.

"Both men are due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday, 21 September, 2020.

"A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
