
Two men have been charged with conspiracy to murder after a woman was injured in a shooting in northeast London.
Police were called to reports of gunshots on Howard Road in Walthamstow just after midnight on Monday, September 29.
A 36-year-old woman was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital, where her injuries were deemed neither life-threatening nor life-changing.
Demaine Mason, 35, of no fixed address, was arrested on Tuesday, October 28, and was charged on the same day with conspiracy to murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
He appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, October 19, where he was remanded in custody.
Mohammed Kashif, 20, of Calshot Road, Birmingham, was arrested on Tuesday, November 4, and charged on Thursday, November 6, with conspiracy to murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
He remains in custody and will attend Thames Magistrates’ Court today.
