Two men have been charged following separate New Year's Day stabbings in Sydney.
Emergency services were called to Myddleton Avenue in Fairfield in the city's south, at around 5.00pm, where they found a 63-year-old man with multiple stab wounds.
The man was treated at the scene before being taken to Liverpool Hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.
A 25-year-old man was arrested at the scene and has been charged with attempted murder.
He was refused bail and will appear at Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday.
In an earlier incident, emergency services attended Tor Road in Dee Why on Sydney's northern beaches at around 12.30pm on Friday, where they found two men suffering with stab wounds.
Both men were treated at the scene before being taken to hospital.
One of the men, aged 23, was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital with multiple stab wounds to his face, hands and legs. He is currently in a stable condition.
A second man, aged 22, was taken to Northern Beaches Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Following inquiries, detectives arrested the younger man and charged him with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
He was refused bail and will appear at Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday.
