Two men have been charged after an armed robbery in Co Kildare.
The pair entered a premises on Castledermot main street on Saturday armed with a handgun and a hammer.
They went behind the till area and proceeded to empty a sum of cash into a bag.
The men then fled the scene in a car but a short time later they were located and arrested by gardai. No injuries were reported.
A Garda spokesperson said: "The men, one aged in his 40s and the other in his 20s, are set to appear before Naas District Court on Monday, January 17, 2022."
