Two men charged after mass brawl broke out in Scots street

Two men have been arrested and charged after a mass brawl in a Scots street last night.

Police raced to Murray Place in Stirling city centre around 8pm after reports of 'multiple persons fighting' outside a home.

A 35-year-old and a 23-year-old have been arrested and charged with assault.

They were held in custody and are expected to appear in court on Friday.

A police spokesman said there had been 'numerous' reports and that it 'appears to be an isolated incident'.

He said: "Around 8pm last night, officers attended a disturbance at Murray Place, Stirling; following numerous reports of multiple persons fighting outside an address in Murray Place, Stirling.

"Officers apprehended a 35-year-old male and a 23-year-old male.

"Both males were arrested and charged with assault; they were both held in custody to appear at Falkirk Sheriff Court on Friday, August 21.

"We would like to reassure members of the community that this appears to be an isolated incident."
