Two men charged after Land Rover rammed police car during chase

Two men have been charged following a police chase in Trafford in which a cop car was repeatedly rammed by a Land Rover.

A police officer injured an arm during the incident in Urmston on Tuesday.

It came after officers patrolling Taunton Road in Sale began pursuing a Land Rover after it failed to stop.

The 4x4 then rammed the police car on a number of occasions, before the chase came to end at Dartford Road in Urmston.

Jordan Begley, 33, of no fixed abode, has been charged with aggravated vehicle taking and dangerous driving, trespass on a railway and aiding, abetting, counselling and procuring/aiding and abetting driving a motor vehicle dangerously

Curtis Coburn, 32, of no fixed address, has been charged with aggravated vehicle taking and dangerous driving, trespass on a railway, dangerous driving, failing to stop, driving without insurance and driving without a licence.

Both men were remanded in custody and were due to appear Manchester magistrates' court on Thursday, October 21.
