Two men arrested over death of Castlemilk man Daniel 'Zippy' McGuigan

Police have revealed two men, aged 34 and 37 have been arrested in connection with the death of  Castlemilk man Daniel "Zippy" McGuigan.

Daniel, 35, was allegedly attacked in Stravanan Street in Castlemilk, Glasgow, at around 10.50am on Friday morning.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

On Saturday, a teenager was arrested and charged over the incident.

The 14-year-old is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Tuesday in connection with Daniel's death.

Following, the fatal attack on Friday morning tributes poured in online for the local 'legend'.

The Castlemilk Community Facebook page said: "What can you say other than another hugely sad and dark day for our community.

"RIP Castlemilk legend Daniel 'Zippy' McGuigan."

Laura Sanderson said: "Rest easy Zippy, u are one in a million."

And Sean Lynch wrote: "Rip brother always in our hearts you'll be truly missed legend of a boy".
