Two men arrested over alleged stabbing in Adelaide's west

The man was allegedly stabbed outside this Torrensville restaurant.

Two men have been arrested following an alleged stabbing in Adelaide's inner-west yesterday.

Police say a fight that broke out in a group of people near a restaurant on Henley Beach Road at Torrensville ended with a man suffering several stab wounds to his torso and arms.

The 32-year-old was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital and is now in a stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspects fled in a car but police later arrested a 42-year-old Pennington man and 39-year-old Cowandilla man at a house in Richmond.

They have been charged with aggravated affray and let out on bail under strict conditions.

They will face court in late January.

Police say all parties are know to each other.

Attempted armed robbery

Meanwhile, two would-be robbers were chased out of a Morphett Vale pizza bar overnight.

The pair went into the shop on Bains Road armed with a knife and a hammer just after 1:00am.

They threatened staff and customers, before being chased out of the store empty-handed.

The suspects ran off, leaving a motorbike behind.

Police say it had been stolen from Noarlunga Centre earlier in the night.

Fatal crash at Mount Compass

An 80-year-old Valley View man died after a car crash on the Victor Harbor Road at Mount Compass yesterday.

Police say his Toyota sedan and a Land Rover four-wheel drive collided head-on just after 5:00pm.

The man died at the scene, while the 48-year-old Kensington Park woman driving the other car and her child suffered non-life-threatening injuries, and were taken to the Flinders Medical Centre.

Seventy-eight people have died on South Australian roads this year.
