Two men have been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life after a flat fire in Cardiff .
The fire took place at a top floor flat in Laburnum Place in Fairwater just before midnight.
South Wales Police said in a statement: "We were called to reports of a fire at about 11.35pm last night in Laburnum Place.
"The block of flats were evacuated and two men aged 25 and 21 have been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life – they remain in police custody."
The Welsh Ambulance Service added that they attended, but no one was conveyed to hospital.
South Wales Fire and Rescue could not be contacted for comment.
