Gardai have arrested two men after they recovered a firearm from a residence in Dublin on Tuesday night.
During the intelligence led operation in the Ballyfermot area, Gardai arrested two males aged 47 and 52 years old.
They are currently being detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against The State Act 39/98 at Ballyfermot Garda Station.
The seizure was part of an operation which targets organised criminality in the Dublin area.
The Garda National Drugs, Organised Crime Bureau and the Special Crime Task Force carried out the search.
