Two men have been arrested and charged in connection with the death of Terry Smith in a Motherwell tower block.
At around 4.10am emergency services rushed to the scene where the 30-year-old was found with serious injuries within a flat in Doonside Tower. He later died at the scene.
A 21-year-old and a 19-year-old are due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court tomorrow (Thursday, August 15).
Tributes were paid to Terry from his family and friends on social media.
Cousin Alex Smith wrote: "RIP terry cuz will be missed by family and friend and u will always be in our hearts fly high."
Friend Emma Dollochin wrote: "Such a sad sad world we're living in these days.
"Another one taken far too soon. Fly high Terry, you will be sorely missed by everyone."
