Two men have been arrested after over €400,000 worth of cocaine and cannabis were seized during an evening raid in West Dublin.
Gardai attached to the Dublin Metropolitan Region West Divisional Drugs Unit conducted the search at a house in an estate in Clonsilla around 7:30pm on Saturday evening.
The massive drugs haul was soon made as suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of €171,000 and suspected cannabis herb worth €270,000 were uncovered at the home.
The drugs have been sent away for analysis.
Nearly €20,000 in cash, two Rolex watches, and drug paraphernalia were also taken by Gardai during the course of the raid.
The two men, aged in their 30s and 40s respectively, were arrested at the scene.
They were taken to Blanchardstown Garda Station where they are currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
Chief Superintendent Finbarr Murphy said, "This is an excellent detection by the newly-formed Divisional Drugs Unit, and has disrupted the supply of cocaine and cannabis herb in the Blanchardstown area.
"We will continue to aggressively tackle those involved in the sale and supply of drugs in order to make our community safer for everybody in the area.”
