Two men have been arrested after gardai made a massive €150,000 drugs and cash haul during a pair of intelligence-led raids in Tallaght.
Officers acting under Operation Tara stormed a home on Brookview Drive in Fortunestown around 3:40pm on Tuesday afternoon.
During the raid, gardai discovered €69,930 in cash.
And at a follow-up search on New Seskin Court in the centre of Tallaght later that day, gardai uncovered €81,662 worth of cocaine and €27,025 worth of MDMA, which will be sent for further analysis.
Two men were arrested during the pair of raids, with one man set to appear in court this morning.
Gardai said: "As part of Operation Tara, Gardaí have arrested two men, seized €108,687 worth of drugs and €69,930 in cash following searches in the Tallaght area yesterday.
"At approximately 3:40pm yesterday afternoon, Tuesday 14th September 2021, Gardaí conducted a search of a residential property in Brookview Drive, Tallaght and discovered €69,930 in cash.
"In a follow up search at a residence in New Seskin Court, shortly before 8:30pm yesterday evening, Gardaí seized €81,662 worth of cocaine and €27,025 worth of MDMA. All drugs will now be sent for analysis.
"Two men, one aged in his 20s and the other in his 30s were arrested as a result. The man in his 30s has since been charged and is due to appear before Tallaght District Court at 10:30am this morning, Wednesday 15 September 2021. The man in his 20s has since been released without charge with a file now being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions."
