Two men arrested after 'fully loaded sawn-off shotgun' found in house

A shotgun was discovered in a Bury home by police on Friday morning.

At around 8.45am on Friday morning, police received a report that a gun was being stored in a house in Padiham Close, Bury.

Police rushed to the home and arrested two men, ages 33 and 61, on suspicion of possession of a shotgun.

The Manchester Evening News understands that the firearm was a sawn-off shotgun, found fully loaded in the house.

Enquiries are now being carried out by police. The two men arrested are assisting with investigations, confirm officers.
