Two men arrested after cocaine and pills worth €220,000 seized in North Dublin

Two men were arrested by gardaí yesterday after a massive drugs seizure in Dublin 15.

Cocaine and pills with an estimated worth of €220,000 were seized from a premises in the Mountview area.

This sting happened shortly after 4pm and was part of an ongoing investigation into the sale of controlled drugs in the local area.

The two men were taken to Blanchardstown Garda Station and are being held under the Drugs Trafficking Act.

A garda spokesman said: "As part of ongoing investigations into the local sale and distribution of controlled drugs, Gardaí from Blanchardstown searched a premises in the Mountview area of Dublin 15 shortly after 4pm on Friday, 4th February, 2022.

"In the course of the search cocaine and tablets with an estimated street value of €220,000 were recovered (analysis pending).

"Two males were arrested and taken to Blanchardstown Garda Station. Both are currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drugs Trafficking) Act, 1996. They can be held for up to 7 days."
