Two men arrested after assaults in Swansea city centre

Police are investigating an alleged assault in Swansea city centre which left two men requiring medical attention.

Officers were alerted to a disturbance near Primark on St Mary’s Square at approximately 11.25am on Saturday, June 15.

Two men required medical treatment and two others, aged 21 and 33, were arrested on suspicion of ABH and have since been released on bail.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.

In a statement police said: "South Wales Police would like to hear from any witnesses who have not yet given an account to police.

"In particular, officers are keen to trace three people who were in the vicinity at the time of the incident and who may have witnessed it.

"The first man was wearing a black leather jacket, the second a white gillet, and the third is a taxi driver who was in his vehicle at the scene."

All three – and anyone with any information which could assist the investigation are urged to contact 101, quoting occurrence 1900216232.
