Two men arrested after £250,000 drug haul seized in home raid

Two men have been arrested in connection after police recovered a £250,000 drugs haul during a raid on a Nitshill home.

Police Scotland officers, acting on a warrant, swooped on a property in Whitehaugh Road and seized more than 500,000 tablets at around 11am yesterday.

The drug is believed to be Etizolam, a potent benzodiazepine also known as 'street valium.'

The suspects, aged 32 and 51, are being held and are due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
