Two men arrested after €1.2 million worth of cannabis seized in massive Dublin sting

Two men have been arrested after gardai seized €1.2 million worth of cannabis today.

The Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) stopped two cars in Brittas as part of an ongoing investigation into organised crime.

A business premises in Tallaght was also searched.

210 kilogrammes of cannabis resin was seized by officers during the massive sting.

A man is in his 40s and a man in his 20s were arrested. They were taken to Tallaght Garda Station.

A garda spokesman said: "In the course of the operation, 210 kilogrammes of Cannabis Resin with an estimated street sale value of €1.2 million was seized.

"Two males, aged in their 40s and 20s have been arrested and are currently detained pursuant to the provisions of section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Tallaght Garda Station."
