Two men are shot in Ealing after violent night in the capital

Two men were shot in Ealing on Saturday morning after a violent night in the capital.

Police were called to Standard Road at around 5.30am to find a 28-year-old man had been shot and stabbed.

He was taken to hospital. His injuries are thought to be non life-threatening.

A second man, 31, was shot in the hand and was taken to hospital. He had been discharged.

Detectives from the Specialist Crime Command (Trident) are investigating. They would like to speak with anyone who was in the area of Standard Road and saw or heard anything suspicious.

It comes after a man in his 20s and a woman in her 80s were stabbed in Brentford on Friday night.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene and the woman is in a critical condition.

Anyone who witnessed the incident in Ealing or has information that could help the investigation is asked to call police on 101 or Tweet @MetCC quoting reference CAD 1616/06Nov.
