Murphy was further accused of drink driving and having an offensive weapon in public, while March was charged with have a blade.

Both made no plea and March was remanded in custody, while Murphy was granted bail.

Their appearance follows eight puppies allegedly being stolen from a house in Barlia Drive, Castlemilk, Glasgow, early on Wednesday, while a family, including a two-year-old child, were inside.
