Two men and woman rushed to hospital after street rammy in Glasgow's east end

Two men and a woman have been hospitalised following a disturbance in Glasgow.

Police raced to Shettleston in Glasgow’s east end after reports of an altercation involving a number of people on Budhill Avenue.

Officers were joined by ambulance crews at the scene and the street was cordoned off.

A man and woman were taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary and a second man was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

Three people were then arrested and police investigations into the incident continue.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6.45pm we received a report of an altercation involving a number of people on Budhill Avenue, Glasgow.

“Officers attended and a woman and a man were taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary. A second man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

“A 34-year-old woman, a 35-year-old man and a 26-year-old man have been arrested in connection and enquiries are ongoing.”
