Three people have been left seriously injured after a crash between a police response vehicle and another car on the M62.

Traffic had been stopped for more than 12 hours in both directions after the collision at 11.34pm on Friday night (September 3).

A police officer and two men had to be cut from their vehicles by firefighters following the crash, on the eastbound side of the motorway between junctions 34 and 35, Yorkshire Live reports.
