Two Manchester United youngsters sign professional contracts

Dillon Hoogewerf and Johan Guadagno have both signed their first professional contracts with Manchester United.

17-year-old Hoogewerf has become the latest youngster to commit his future to the club by agreeing a new contract at Old Trafford.

Hoogewerf only joined United from Ajax last summer but has been a key member for the club at youth level his debut campaign.

The teenage forward has been a key part of the United U18 side which booked their place in the FA Youth Cup semi-finals for the first time in eight years.

Hoogewerf has scored three goals in three games in the competition, including the winner against Leeds at Old Trafford earlier this year.

Taking to social media on Thursday afternoon Hoogewerf posted a picture of himself signing his new contract along with the caption: "Really happy to sign my first professional contract, can't wait to get back to the training ground and continue the hard work."

The Dutch forward has seven goals in 19 appearances for United this season but has not featured since suffering an injury in the aforementioned win against Leeds.

Swedish goalkeeper Guadagno has also committed his future to the club by signing a new contract. The 17-year-old only joined United from IF Brommapojkarna last summer but has impressed coaches at the club.
