Two Man City youngsters set to be involved against Atalanta in Champions League

Tommy Doyle and Eric Garcia could feature for Manchester City tonight in the Champions League against Atalanta.

The two youngsters travelled to Italy as part of the matchday squad but were not included in the squad for the UEFA Youth League squad, suggesting they could feature in the first-team clash tonight.

Taylor Harwood-Bellis , Ian Poveda and Adrian Bernabe all started, meaning they won't be involved at the San Siro .

Doyle made his Manchester City debut in October, starting the Carabao Cup win against Southampton at the Etihad Stadium.

Garcia also featured in the win over the Saints and both players are yet to make an appearance in the Champions League.

With progression to the knockout stages almost secure, Guardiola could rotate his squad to keep players fit for the weekend's crucial Premier League clash against league leaders Liverpool.

However, the City boss confirmed he wants qualification as soon as possible, meaning a full strength side could be fielded.

He said: "I’m wanting to qualify as soon as possible, if not tomorrow then in one of the others - I’m not thinking of rotating my squad.

"I go game by game, will try to win tomorrow, to be already there for one more year.

"But if not we have Shakhtar and Zagreb and we will see then, tomorrow is the most important to try to win and after go on to the next one."

Kick-off is at 8pm at the San Siro tonight.
