Two lucky Beeston neighbours win £30,000 each playing Postcode Lottery

Two lucky residents in Beeston are celebrating after have scooped a cash prize of £30,000 each, all thanks to their lucky postcode.

The Central Avenue neighbours netted the windfall when NG9 2QP was announced as a winner with People’s Postcode Lottery on Thursday, August 8.

The duo were the only people playing with the winning postcode and chose to remain anonymous, but had any of their neighbours been playing then they too would have picked up a cheque for £30,000.

People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Danyl Johnson said: “Congratulations to our two winners in Beeston today. I hope they enjoy spending their winnings and treat themselves to something nice.”

With a minimum of 32 percent from ticket sales going directly to charities, players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised more than £450 million to date for thousands of projects across Great Britain and internationally.

This draw was promoted on behalf of Postcode Support Trust, which awards funds to charities that are enabling older people to live happy and fulfilled lives in communities across Britain, such as Dementia Adventure and Contact the Elderly.

Players also support smaller charities across Britain such as Sharewear Clothing Scheme, which received £20,000 last year.

The charity provides free clothing, shoes and bedding to people in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire who are unable to afford it.
