The supermarket fashion ranges have come on leaps and bounds over the last few years, and you can find some amazing pieces that tick off current trends, as well as updated classics that won't break the bank; a perfect example is what I'm already heralding as one of the best trench coats of the season.
Every autumn capsule wardrobe should include a trench coat, and I had been on the hunt for a new one when I came across this reversible trench from F&F at Tesco. Already restocked once, I'm expecting this gem to fly off the shelves, so don't hang around.
One side has a classic, camel-toned hue with neat checked trims, which can then be turned inside out to show off a mini heritage square design in a soft brown hue. Both options are completely timeless, and it means you can switch up your look to suit your mood and your outfit, and as the supermarket staple comes with a price tag of just £55, you basically get each coat for less than £28.

Reversible coats are set to be huge news for autumn, and they make a lot of shopping sense when it comes to style and your budget - and the F&F cover-up is one of my favourites. I love how simple it is to switch up the aesthetic, and after trying it on, the quality has impressed me massively too.
The F&F reversible trench is much more affordable than most other two-way styles. The cotton-and-polyester blend fabric has a premium weight and feel, making it a great extra layer once the weather cools.
The chunky brown buttons and handy side pockets, combined with contrast trims and a double-sided waist tie, all bring a luxe aesthetic too - I wore my trench while meeting some friends for coffee, and they were all genuinely shocked when I told them it was from Tesco.
The only thing worth flagging is that the model in the brand's photos is 5"9, and it sits mid calf on her. As I'm only 5"2 this coat falls just above my ankles, so it might not be the best for petite frames, but I actually like the full-length fit, and it's longer than my other trench, giving it a point of difference. It feels quite fun and fresh to try something new.
The camel colour is totally timeless and will sit well over everything from a white shirt and tailored trousers for the office, to a tee and denim jeans for the weekend. The darker-toned, checked side has a slightly softer, heritage feel that I can see working well over chunky knits and cord skirts when the colder temperatures are in full swing too. I really can't get enough of this clever two-way wonder - it's purse-friendly, seriously chic, and the high quality means it'll last me for years to come. Roll on autumn.
