Llanelli pub closed following breach of coronavirus regulations

Another Llanelli pub has been given a closure notice for breaching Covid-19 regulations.

The Biddulph Arms was forced to close after enforcement officers from the council visited the business over the weekend and found that it fell short on some of the Covid-19 guidelines.

The venue follows a long list of businesses that have been forced to close in Carmarthenshire since the beginning of the pandemic, you can read the full list here.

Regulations that venues are expected to adhere to include social distancing, ensuring customers are wearing masks, correctly filling out track and trace requirements, sticking to the 10pm curfew and having enough staff.

However, a number of Carmarthenshire premises have been allowed to reopen early if improvements have been met and enforcement officers have agreed to lift the ban.

Llanelli pub the South Star and both Llangennech and Felinfoel rugby club which were all issued 14-day closure notices in September but were allowed to reopen early after improvements were made.

A number of other premises have also given improvement notices and enforcement officers are said to be constantly checking on businesses to ensure safety measures are being met.,
