Liverpool youngsters Adam Lewis and Yasser Larouci have been tipped to impress Jurgen Klopp in pre-season.
Lewis and Larouci have both impressed at left-back with the club's academy sides.
Liverpool boss Klopp is on the lookout for a new full-back to provide competition for Andy Robertson following Alberto Moreno's departure.
Real Betis defender Junior Firpo has been linked but Klopp is unlikely to make a move.
And former Reds left-back Stephen Warnock believes youngsters Lewis and Larouci have every chance of catching Klopp's eye and earning a shot in the first-team.
“We know the manager will look at the youth and give them a chance, but I think he will also be looking to bring someone in as well," Warnock said.
“Can the likes of Adam and Yasser put a seed in the manager’s mind of positivity towards the way they play.
“When you see one of the first-team players in Moreno leaving the club, Adam has got to look at that now and think, ‘Is this an opportunity for me?
“What Adam has to do is hit the ground running, make the most of pre-season and you have to try and press upon to the manager, so he has a doubt in his mind to think, ‘Do I actually need to go and buy another left-back?'.
Liverpool are set to return to pre-season training ahead of their first friendly against Tranmere on July 11.
The Reds will also take on Borussia Dortmund, Seville, Sporting Lisbon, Lyon and Napoli this summer.
It has been confirmed that Alisson and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will switch squad numbers for next term, wearing No.1 and No.15 respectively.
