Two Liverpool stars called 'arrogant and cocky' by Manchester United's Andreas Pereira

Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira has claimed Liverpool duo James Milner and Virgil van Dijk are the most arrogant opponents he faces.

The Brazilian made the comments in an interview with Desimpedidos when asked to pick out the most "cocky" players in the top flight.

The 24-year-old has made more than 50 appearances for the Old Trafford club and played against the majority of Premier League players but named the two Reds stars as "marrento" which can mean "cocky" or "arrogant" in Portuguese.

"I don't really like that guy, Milner," he said.

"And to tell you the truth, I don't like that guy, the defender, Van Dijk. [He is] Marrento, man. Even the way he plays is kind of arrogant."

Pereira's comments arrive just as Chelsea boss Frank Lampard fired shots at Liverpool and Man City manager Pep Guardiola took a dig about individual player awards "always being" for the Reds.
