Two lawyers accused of submitting false documents in court to avoid warrants going out for their clients have been committed to stand trial.

Zoe Davis, 37, and Rachelle Badour-Taha, 26, each pleaded not guilty on Tuesday after magistrate Leon Fluxman found there was sufficient evidence for the case to go to trial.

Davis will face the Victorian County Court on five charges, including perverting the course of justice and attempting to pervert the course of justice.

Badour-Taha will be tried on three similar offences.

Police allege Davis perverted the course of justice in August 2022 by obtaining an adjournment for her client using a false document.

On August 7 the following year, it's alleged Badour-Taha attempted to pervert the course of justice during a hearing at Frankston Magistrates Court.

Police claim she lied about her client being in a car crash in an effort to avoid a warrant going out for the woman.

It's alleged Davis instructed Badour-Taha to mislead the magistrate.

The pair are also accused of attempting to pervert the course of justice on September 26, 2023 by knowingly submitting a false document to the court.

It's alleged the document was used in an attempt to avoid a police warrant for their client.

Mr Fluxman discharged two perverting the course of justice offences for each of the accused in relation to the August and September 2023 incidents.

But he ruled there was sufficient evidence on the remaining charges for the case to go to trial.

Both Davis and Badour-Taha were bailed to a directions hearing at the Victorian County Court in August.
