Two lanes closed on M67 motorway near Denton after reports of 'overturned vehicle'

Two lanes have been closed on the M67 motorway near Denton after reports of an overturned vehicle.

Drivers are being warned of queues building between junction one and two for Denton Interchange, following the incident.

Police are said to be dealing with the incident.

The extent of the traffic accident has not been confirmed, but motorists are being advised to avoid the area or expect delays.

It is not yet known if anyone has been injured during the incident.

Travel for Greater Manchester posted on Twitter: "M67 Lane Closures, Denton. 2 of 3 lanes are closed on M67 Jct 1a to Jct 2 Eastbound due to a police incident.

"Queues are building, expect delays."

North West Motorway Police tweeted: "We have reports of an rtc on M67 between junctions 1 and 2 eastbound. 

"Police and Highways England are en route."
