Two killed, four injured after two-wheelers collide in Kochi

KOCHI: Two people were killed and four others sustained injuries after three two-wheelers collided with each other at Kadavanthra in the early hours of Saturday.

The deceased have been identified as Aneesh Unnikrishnan

(26) of Malappuram and Edward Antony (47) of Elamakkara. The injured are Aaron, Thomas, Joseph and Ananthu.

According to police, two bikes and a scooter were involved in the crash. The accident occurred at KP Vallom Road at Kadavanthra. The bike and scooter were going in one direction when the second bike came from the opposite direction crashed head on with the other two vehicles. This bike had three passengers on it. One rider each from the two bikes died. Police said that all the injured have been admitted to private hospitals in the city. Condition of one among the injured was said to be serious, police said. Ernakulam Town South police have registered an FIR and have launched an investigation to find out the exact cause of the accident.
