The Criminal Assets Bureau has seized two jet skis, four Rolex watches, five miniature mobile phones and various documents following a search at eight different locations in Dublin and Wexford on Thursday morning.

As well as this, cash to the value of €17,000 has been restrained in a bank account pursuant to the Criminal Justice (Money Laundering and Terrorist Finance) Act, 2010.

The documents seized in the operation were in relation to property purchased in Ireland and abroad.

As part of the same investigation, Gardaí in Tallaght seized approximately €100,000 in 2017.

Gardai have said that Thursday morning's search operation is a significant development in the on-going investigation targeting property acquired with the proceeds of crime by an Organised Crime Gang who are involved in the sale and supply of drugs.

CAB were assisted in the operation by Local Drugs and Detective Units along with Regional Armed Support Units.
