Two jailed for firearm offences after loaded handgun found at address in Bromley

Two people have been jailed for firearm offences after police discovered a loaded hangun at an address in Bromley.

Brandon Cole, 21, was jailed for 12 years at Croydon Crown Court on Friday after being found guilty of possession of a firearm and ammunition with intent to endanger life.

Sian Chambers, 22, was sentenced to six years imprisonment after she was found guilty of possession of firearm and ammunition.

Officers searched Chambers’ address in January 2022 and found a firearm and ammunition inside a Gucci box.

Specialist analysis revealed the firearm to be a loaded, converted Retay handgun.

Chambers’ phone was seized and on inspection messages to Cole were identified, leading to his arrest.

They were both arrested, charged and remanded in custody.

Detective Inspector Lewis Sanderson said: “Every illegal firearm removed from the streets of London means a life has potentially been saved somewhere along the line and another family potentially spared a devastating loss.

“This work is so incredibly important and I am so pleased today that the sentences today reflect the gravity of these very serious offences.”
