Israeli Acting Foreign Minister Yisrael Katz and Minister of Housing General Yoav Galant denied that the new truce deal between Israel and Hamas includes an agreement on prisoner exchange.
Katz told Kan Reshet Bet radio that an imminent prisoner exchange is unlikely.
"I also don't believe in any agreements with Hamas," added Katz.
For his part, Galant said that among Israel's demands is the return of the bodies of two Israeli soldiers, Hadar Goldin and Oron Shaul, but the matter would take time.
Hamas-affiliated Al-Quds TV station, reported on Monday that talks for a ceasefire to end the most recent outbreak of tensions between Hamas and Israel addressed the possibility of a prisoner exchange.
Also Tuesday, press statements revealed that a Qatari delegation is expected in the Gaza Strip this week to discuss transferring the Qatari funds to Gaza.
Meanwhile, UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process Nickolay Mladenov arrived in the enclave with a delegation of Egyptian intelligence and high-rank Israeli officials to discuss the truce.
Leah Goldin, Hadar's mother, responded critically to the reports, saying they are part of electoral campaigns.
"When we learn about it from media reports it means that there is no agreement to bring the boys home, and once again the government missed an opportunity," said the Goldin family.
Shaul and Goldin were captured by Hamas in two separate locations in Gaza in July 2014. Their bodies were never returned to Israel. Israel considered them officially dead but Hamas rejects to reveal their fate. There are also three citizens holding the Israeli nationality who voluntarily entered the Gaza Strip and were deemed captives to Hamas.
