Two Irish golfers named in Great Britain and Ireland team for 2021 Walker Cup

Two Irish golfers have been named in the Great Britain and Ireland team for the 2021 Walker Cup.

The showpiece, organised by the United States Golf Association and The R&A, is contested between the USA and Great Britain and Ireland.

Considered the pinnacle of the amateur game, the tournament has previously featured some of golf's current top stars such as Tiger Woods, Bryson DeChambeau, Tommy Fleetwood, Jordan Spieth and Rickie Fowler.

And as GB&I come in search of their first Walker Cup since 2015, they've named Kinsale golfer John Murphy as well as Kilkenny native Mark Power in their team for the May 8 & 9 showpiece at Seminole.
