Two men were taken to hospital after a car smashed into a tree and flipped onto its roof.
Emergency services were called to the crash in Bury and Bolton Road, Radcliffe, at about 9.40pm on Wednesday (October 6).
Pictures from the scene show an overturned Honda Civic abandoned in a ditch at the side of the road.
The incident involved up to three vehicles, although police say only one crashed.
Firefighters attended and managed to free a man from the vehicle.
A passenger was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The driver was also taken to hospital, with what officers described as 'more minor injuries'.

Eyewitness said the road, a key link between Bury and Bolton, was shut between Starling Road and Bradley Fold Road for several hours following the incident.
A spokesperson for the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: “Just after 9.45pm on Wednesday 6 October, fire crews were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Bury and Bolton Road, Radcliffe.
“Four fire engines from Bury, Whitefield, Bolton North and Bolton Central fire stations, as well as the technical rescue unit from Ashton, quickly attended the incident, which involved three vehicles.
“Fire crews used specialist equipment to extricate a man from one of the vehicles. Two men were taken to hospital by colleagues from North West Ambulance Service (NWAS).
“GMFRS crews were in attendance for around two hours.”
