Two men have been hospitalised after an alleged assault in Cardiff this evening.
Police were called to reports of the incident at Ninian Park Road at 7.45pm.
The road is currently closed while inquiries continue in the area.
South Wales Police officers are advising drivers to avoid the area and use an alternative route.
But the force has assured the community there is "no ongoing threat".
A spokeswoman for the force said: "Police in Cardiff were called to reports of an assault at on Ninian Park Road at approximately 7.45pm this evening.
"Two men have been taken to hospital and the road is currently closed while enquiries continue in the area.
"Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use an alternative route.
"There is no ongoing threat to the wider community and the public are thanked for their patience while the investigation continues."
