Two in hospital after police called to injured man on Cathcart Road

Police have launched a probe after two men ended up in hospital last night.

They were first alerted to an injured man in the Cathcart Road area.

However, they they discovered a second person requiring medical treatment in a nearby house a short time later.

An investigation is ongoing into how the pair received their injuries.

A police spokesman explained: "Officers attended the Cathcart Road area at around 7.25pm on Saturday, 1 August in response to a call regarding an injured male.

"Subsequent enquiries were carried out at a property on Butterbiggins Road where a second injured man was found.

"Both men were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with non life-threatening, injuries.

"Enquiries are currently ongoing regarding this incident."
