Two hospitalised after fire crews race to blaze near Glasgow

Two people have been hospitalised following a fire near Glasgow.

Fire crews were called to Graham Terrace in Bishopbriggs, East Dunbartonshire, just after 10pm on Friday August 27.

Two people were treated for smoke inhalation at the scene before being taken to hospital for further treatment.

Their current medical condition or the cause of the blaze have not yet been disclosed

Fire crews left the scene having put the blaze out at around 10.44pm.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman told the Record: “We were alerted to a fire at Graham Terrace, Bishopbriggs at 10.03pm on Friday, August 27.

"Operations Control mobilised three appliances to the scene where two casualties were treated for smoke inhalation, before being transferred to hospital by the Scottish Ambulance Service.

"Crews extinguished the fire and left the scene at 10.44pm.”
