Two hospitalised after crash on major Scots road

Two people have been hospitalised after a two vehicle crash on a major Scots road.

The incident took place on the A90, south of Fordoun in Aberdeenshire on Saturday August 14.

Emergency services rushed to the scene and one lane was closed around 11.45am, according to Police Scotland.

Two individuals were taken to hospital as a result of the crash. Their current condition remains unknown.

Traffic Scotland confirmed that the lane which was initially closed was reopened around 1.34pm.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 11.45am on Saturday, 14 August, we received a report of a two vehicle crash on the A90 near Balfeich Bridge.

“Emergency services attended and one lane was closed for a short time. Two people have been taken to hospital.”

It comes after a 31-year-old pedestrian died after being struck by a car on the A90 near Boddam, also in Aberdeenshire.
