Two held for running fake scouts centre in Lucknow

LUCKNOW: A team of the Special Task Force (STF) on Wednesday nabbed two persons for running a fake scouts/guides training institute in Alambagh and duping gullible youths in the name of jobs in private and government sectors.

The accused, Nityapriya Maurya and Shyambabu Maurya, were arrested from a hostel in Alambagh.

“The accused set up a fake institute on the lines of Bharat Scouts and Guides operated by the government. They used to charge Rs 350 for registration and Rs 8,500 for training.

Later, they demanded Rs 1.5 lakh for facilitating job with a salary of Rs 15,000,” said DySP, STF, Avnishwar Srivastava, who led the operation.
