Police who raided a property in Bute Place, Grangemouth, early yesterday (Friday) morning reported a 22-year-old woman for a number of drugs offences and arrested a 21-year-old man on an apprehension warrant.

The raid was conducted by Falkirk Police Community Officers, who were executing a drug search warrant in the small cul de sac off Craigleith Road to the east of Falkirk and close to the Forth river.

As a result, police said, a 22-year-old female was reported for a number of drugs offences and a 21-year-old male was arrested on an apprehension warrant.

An apprehension warrant is commonly used where a suspect cannot be traced or has gone into hiding or for those who fail to appear at court. Police officers are permitted to break into properties when executing the warrant.

Notification of the raid was posted on social media late yesterday evening, along with the hashtags #ProudToServeFV (Forth Valley) and #HarmReduction.
