Two Covidiots were snared by police as they drove 300 miles in a cross-country jaunt to visit their friends in Wales during lockdown.
The pair, from Scotland, were stopped by officers as they headed to Anglesey to meet their pals yesterday.
They were pulled over for having no insurance before cops discovered they had already clocked up 300 miles.
Welsh police have now confirmed the pair have been reported for flouting coronavirus rules, as reported by North Wales Live.
In a short statement, North Wales Police Force said: "Two drivers reported in Valley for driving without insurance.
"Also reported for breaching Covid travel restrictions having travelled from Scotland to see friends."
The cross-country dash comes after tougher lockdown restrictions were brought into force in Scotland in a bid to stop the rampant spread of Covid-19.
First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has warned the spread of the deadly virus is "extremely serious" and all of mainland Scotland is currently banned from leaving home except for essential reasons.
All businesses have been told that employees should be working from home and should only go to their workplace if they can't.
New harsher Covid restrictions were introduced in Scotland yesterday, with changes for takeaway outlets and click and collect shopping.
Nicola Sturgeon announced that customers buying takeaway food are no longer allowed inside the premises and must be served through a hatch or doorway.
