Gardai seized two firearms during a search of a house on the north side of Limerick city yesterday evening.
Detectives from Mayorstone Garda Station, assisted by the Divisional Drug Unit and the Regional Armed Support Unit, found the weapons during a search in Ballynanty around 7.30pm on Monday.
Three men, one in his 50s, one in his 20s and a teenager, were arrested at the scene and taken to Henry Street Garda Station and Roxboro Road Garda Station.
They are all being detained under Section 30 Offences Against the State Act, 1939.
Investigations are ongoing.
