Two ex-circle officers quizzed in 2018 case

GUWAHATI: The chief minister's special vigilance cell on Friday quizzed two former circle officers of South Salmara-Makachar district in connection with a case registered against former ADC Saibar Rahman for alleged irregularities in village head appointment in 2018.

The vigialance cell on Tuesday filed a 305-pagechargesheet against Rahman in the case before the court of special judge.

The vigilance cell had arrested Rahman on August 24 in a disproportionate asset case. However, Gauhati high court granted him bail in the case on November 23.
